Powell River Firefighters were instrumental in heavy lifting during our recent move. We have new and existing refrigeration equipment and heavy duty shelving (thanks to Food Banks Canada) that required their precision and strength. Very appreciated!
The Seasider Bistro, in support of International Women’s Day, had a dessert fundraiser. They raised $500.00 and Sharon Willis presented the cheque to Savanna Dee to help single mothers at the Food Bank.

Organised by LDS, we received loads of food. It was a rainy day and we were overjoyed that most paper bags were in plastic so as to not fall apart.
WE had a Bake Sale at First Credit Union and raised a few hundred dollars. Big thanks to everyone!
