Providing food hampers once a month to those who need them, in the Powell River area.

How to find us:

We are located at the rear of the first group of buildings on the right side of Alberni St, when heading up the hill from Marine Ave. Under the stairs.

We are open 3 days a week (Tues-Thurs), throughout the year.

  • Empty Bowl Fundraiser 2025

    Tidal Art Centre once again had their Empty Bowl Fundraiser evening on Oct 18 at the Dwight Hall. For $50, donors chose a bowl handmade by a local potter and fill edit with their choice of delicious soups made by a local restaurant or cooking group. Proceeds to the Powell River Food Bank totalled $9,000!

  • PR’s First Responders truly are heroes!

    The Thanksgiving fundraiser “Fill the Ambulance, Fire Truck, & Squad Car” on Sat & Sun Oct 4th and 5th at Freshco (RCMP), Quality Foods (Powell River Fire Rescue), and Save On Foods (BCEHS Paramedics) raised a whopping $13,698! $9,003 of that was cash (including gift cards and online donations) and $4,695 worth of food.
    Thanks Freshco, Save On Foods, Quality Foods, and Coast FM. Special thanks to RCMP Officers and staff, PR Fire & Rescue, Tla’amin Fire Department, BCEHS, Northside Fire Department, Jacob & Olivia Reimer, and BC Services.

  • Toy Run donates Toys for Xmas and funds

    The Toy Run on Sept 20 2025 by Powell River Motorcycle Riders brought in over $8,000 of cash, toys, and food. Thanks everyone, especially Bob Stuart for the motorcycle. Cash & food – $2,184, motorcycle sold $3,000, and toys to the value of $2,898. These generous donations are very appreciated!
